In celebration of the upcoming game “Sekiro: shadow die twice” which our staff is a big fan of, Deaven made this weapon “Gorai”.“Roaring Thunder” is a bloodborne-esque trick weapon by theorizing “how would a samurai repair his katana if only given the parts of european swords?”Gorai is about 110cms in length, with a bladelength of 70cms, which is relatively short for a katana. The handle was specifically extended to compensate for the drawing mechanism.The handle is specifically made of Damascus steel while the blade are also especially thick to increasing its durability, making this a two handed weapon when not using its mechanism.When using its “quickdraw” mechanism, the users are expected to be only guiding the direction of the draw, rather than taking control. The sheath also acts as a firing mechanism and a makeshift blunderbuss (with rather poor accuracy.)We are very proud to present your with this project, as this mark a milestone in our capability. We plan on making armor and wear next!
