Officer’s Service Dress Tunic

Belonging to Captain N.A. Quicke, WWI. Long, dark, Khaki green jacket, with there being 4 buttons lining the front of the jacket with the inscription “Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry.” There are 5 pockets lining the front of the coat, 2 on either hip and 2 on either breast, all of which fasten with the same regimental buttons (with the one on the left hip being incredibly weathered to the point it is not distinguishable.) the 5th pocket is a concealed welt pocket that is within the belt band. There are 2 belt hooks on the back of wither hip and a large slit up the back of the garment to help aid movement. The jacket has been well worn, but looked after, evident through the inside lining on either arm pit. This item originates from the collection at Bodmin Keep Musuem, Cornwall, UK.
