Where Everything Lay to Rest

This is my final entry for the World of Warcraft: Legion Fan Art Contest.Wars always have casualities. Sometimes, they are loved ones unknown to many while some other times they are heroes of many. The Legion has returned and on their wake come corruption of the soil and everyone’s sorrow. Many have and will loose their lives during this conflict and the scar is already starting to spread across the lands.This diorama was completed in a single week (modeling, UVs and textures) and was digitalled painted by hand (meaning stroke by stroke like traditional digital art) for almost everything with the exception of the earth and some general parts of the river in Substance Painter.Mid-way during the contest, as I started to manual paint each stroke, I faced a dilemma. Should I paint things as in the game or more realistic? I decided to do both. So, it’s 75% like in-game, but boosted to make uses of the PBR capacity.
