It is used by the Head Fishermen of Date Masamune’s clan. It serves as a very fast fishing boat during peace times using the sails to catch the wind and the float to stabilize the boat. During War periods it is used as a rescue & resupply vessel using the paddles only (The mast go down) and the float as a lifeboat for the Samurais of sinked ships.
