Borei Class Submarine 3d Model – Mastering Stealth Beneath the Waves

The streamlined silhouette of the Project 955A represents the pinnacle of Russian stealth engineering, characterized by its distinctive pump-jet propulsion and integrated vertical endplates. This vessel marks a significant evolution from its predecessors, emphasizing acoustic silence and hydrodynamic efficiency. The hull design prioritizes a low sonar cross-section, ensuring the submarine remains a ghost in the deep ocean environments.

Digital artists appreciate the subtle curves along the casing that hide the immense power of the nuclear reactor. The inclusion of all-moving rudders provides a level of maneuverability rarely seen in ballistic missile carriers of this scale. Every panel line on this asset reflects the industrial might of the Sevmash shipyard where the real-world counterparts come to life.

Borei Class Submarine 3d Model – Engineering Precision in Digital Form

This high-fidelity asset captures the imposing presence of the Borei-A with meticulous attention to the sail and the missile deck. The 16 silo hatches sit flush against the upper hull, ready to deploy their payload in a moments notice. Developers looking for authenticity will find the sensor arrays and communication masts modeled with extreme care, mirroring the latest upgrades in Russian naval technology.

The surface textures simulate the specialized rubberized tiles used for sound dampening, giving the model a weathered yet formidable appearance. This borei class submarine 3d model serves as a cornerstone for any modern naval fleet visualization, offering both scale and intricate detail. The geometry remains optimized for high-performance rendering without sacrificing the complex shapes of the hydroplanes.

Technical Specifications and Visual Fidelity

The transition from the standard Borei to the 955A variant introduces several structural modifications that define its profile. The vertical endplates on the horizontal stabilizers improve stability during high-speed submerged maneuvers. These features, combined with the shrouded pump-jet, create a unique visual signature that distinguishes the Borei-A from other nuclear-powered vessels.

  • Accurate representation of the Bulava SLBM launch tubes and deck configuration.
  • Detailed pump-jet propulsion system designed for ultra-quiet operation.
  • Precisely shaped sail featuring retractable periscopes and electronic warfare masts.
  • High-resolution texture maps depicting the unique anechoic tile patterns of the hull.

Naval enthusiasts will recognize the specific placement of the torpedo tubes and the sonar dome at the bow. The model’s topology ensures clean reflections, which is crucial when simulating the harsh lighting conditions found in underwater scenes. Integrating the Borei into Modern Assets

The sheer size of the 955A makes it a focal point for any maritime simulation or cinematic production. It commands attention with its 170-meter length and massive displacement, dwarfing many other attack submarines in its vicinity. The active voice of the design speaks to its role as a strategic deterrent, projecting power across the world’s oceans.

Integrating this vessel into a larger scene requires an understanding of scale and atmospheric perspective. The dark, matte finish of the hull absorbs light, creating a challenging yet rewarding subject for lighting artists. Seller Original Description

The Borei class, alternate transliteration Borey, Russian designation Project 955A Borei-A, are a series of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines being constructed by Sevmash for the Russian Navy. Units of the Project 955A include improved communication and detection systems, improved acoustic signature and have major structural changes such as addition of all moving rudders and vertical endplates to the hydroplanes for higher maneuverability. Besides, they are equipped with hydraulic jets and improved screws that allow them to sail at nearly 30 knots while submerged with minimal noise. The 955A will be armed with 16 SLBMs with 6-10 nuclear warheads atop each.
