Hadrosaurs, also called duck-billed dinosaurs, roamed Denali National Park in large herds ~70 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period. This track was made when a herbivorous hadrosaur walked through the mud near a river bank and stepped on fallen leaves. Through time the track and leaves were compacted, cemented, and preserved as fossils in the Cantwell Formation.
