……………………………… It was a sunny day and we planned to go and capture this ancient site. The exploration was a wonderfull experience, exposed to a strong wind in the background. Dated in 4000 BC, this is one of the most beautiful and well conserved Asturias’ dolmens. This megalithic construction is located in Las Cabanas, Tineo (Asturias province in Spain) at the altitude of 800 meters. Four orthostats (vertical stones) defines a small rectangular funerary space, with a north oriented entrance. The top stone is 2‘5 m x 1 of width. Archaeologists didn’t found tools or paintings. As the rest of megalithic constructions in Asturias,it was devastated by lootings. The sights are awesome surrounded of mountains, and the local leyends give a wide basis to imagine epic stories from the constructors.
