This is my personal project I made to express my attitude to atrocities of the war. It’s been more than a year since a terrorist state of Russia, which is sadly my home country, started a brutal invasion in Ukraine.This work shows that those who suffer the most and who carry the burden of the war are common people. Why did I put a child there? Children have a special way of thinking, their picture of the world is not fully formed. They live in their own world, free from the horrors that happen in life. They love to dream and fantasize. In this work, the child likes to fantasize about space and perhaps dreams of flying there. But not all rockets are designed to fly into space, and this is the very horror that I wanted to convey. Instead of developing and exploring this beautiful world, people build rockets and bombs to kill, ruthlessly destroying everything.I really want to believe that humanity one day will realize the mercilessness of war and the pointlessness of its victims and sacrifices.
