The lastest version, 747-8, was launched on November 14, 2005, with new General Electric GEnx engines, and was first delivered in October 2011. The passenger version, named 747-8 Intercontinental or 747-8i, can carry 467 passengers in a typical three-class configuration over 7,790 nmi (14,430 km).
