‘’Batocera tigris’’ is a large long-horn beetle reaching 55–70 millimetres of length. The body color is quite variable, but usually it is greysh or whitish with dark brown markings. Adults of this widespread species can be seen from April to August.The longhorn beetles are one of the largest of beetles in the world. Worldwide, about 35,000 species from about 4000 genera are known, of which about 200 are in Central Europe. Also the largest known beetle with a body length of up to 17 centimeters.“Batocera tigris” ist ein großer Langhornkäfer, der eine Länge von 55-70 Millimetern erreicht. Die Körperfarbe ist recht variabel, aber normalerweise ist sie grau oder weißlich mit dunkelbraunen Flecken.
