1949 Pattern Battle Dress Officers Puttees

Puttees worn around the ankle, outside of a soldier’s trouser. They provided support when walking and helped protect against trench foot. These puttees date in style to the Second World War and were desiigned in this way for decades afterwards. There are some leather enforcements on the inside and some visible wearing on those. There is still remants of mud and grass on this example.This item originates from the collection at Bodmin Keep Musuem, Cornwall, UK. The model was created by Purpose3D.
