Foreign service pith helmet, worn during the Boer War. A Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry badge in red with white embroidered text ‘Cornwall’ surmounted by a bugle. Belonging to Serjeant George, a Cornishman from Mylor, first served with 1st Battalion DCLI and saw action in the Tirah Campaign (1897/8, in modern day Pakistan). He moved to 2nd Battalion and served with them through the Boer War.This item originates from the collection at Bodmin Keep Musuem, Cornwall, UK. The model was created by Purpose3D.
