FAP 1626 privately competed in the 1990 FIA race trucks, it had no notable results mainly due to being underpowered, with its stock OM 402 engine pushing out only 260 horsepower compared to the competitions 500 horsepower standard. After racing it was put into service as a semi truck, making it the only truck from that race to fulfill its original design purpose.
