I made this scene as my entry to the Treasure Chest Challenge, based on my own idea. This lost pirate’s treasure has been at the bottom of the ocean for a long time and nature has started to claim it. But now it has been discovered by a curious octopus who loves to loot all the shiny things he can find. I started out with a quick concept to get my idea down and made a first blockout in Blender. I then modelled the assets in Blender and Zbrush, using Blender again for retopology and unwrapping. I did the texturing in Substance Painter and assembled the scene in Blender and Unreal Engine 4.
