Japan lacquered furniture gift

Made for the Artstation challenge, find more about this prop and more here. https://www.artstation.com/contests/feudal-japan/challenges/50/submissions/33452#submission-update-158367The idea is the conceptualize the diplomanic gifts given by Japan to commodore Perry in the Kangawa treaty where Japan’s isolationism and feudal period ended. It is meant to conceptualize the culture of Japan in a single prop up until the end of the Edo period.Through this there are plenty of historically accurate paintings, artwork, furniture etc… scattered in the prop. All assets in this prop were written down in the exchange of gifts except one being an umbrella simply because of the difficulty integrating. My favourite tid bit from the Kangawa treaty was one of the US gifts of a model train large enough to sit on and ride. Given the isolationism this was a stark contrast and the commissioners and Diyamo (royals) had so much fun riding it it was referenced as if children at a carnival
