One of the canons that can be found on the old town of Gijón, Spain. It’s located on the top of Santa Catalina’s Hill, a small hill almost completely surounded by the sea, which was a great spot for defensive purposes. Originally, around the XVII century, its function was to defend the city from pirates.(Source, in spanish: https://www.castillosnet.org/espana/album.php?ref=O-CAS-021&seo=Fuerte%20Viejo%20y%20bater%EDas%20de%20Santa%20Catalina)
