2nd Battalion Royal Cornwall Militia, belonging to John Hext of Trenarn, born 1766 died 1838. Commanded the 2nd Royal Cornwall, or Roseland Regiment of Local Militia. Double-breasted scarlet cloth with blue collar and cuffs. Eight gilt buttons set in pairs on either side of front opening. Lapel of collar can be worn turned back with top four buttons undone, to show blue facing. Top four button holes on blue side of lapels have ornamental blue twist bindings.
